Every Sunday starting after July 5th and going thru August 22nd.

The way it works is:

This is 10U to 14U. This league would be mostly run by the kids. The kids control the batting order to an extent, where they field and are the base coaches. There would be an adult umpire. .

Basically the only thing the adults would do is sort the kids by ages and ensure teams have an equal number of pitchers and catchers. If enough for two games we would use west and south. If not enough we would put them together and alternate who is in the field and pitching/catching based on ages

We would have couple of general rules-

1. Batting order is youngest to oldest

2. Every pitcher/catcher has to be allowed to play. We generally ask them to switch every inning

This would be a once per week event on sunday nights and it only costs 1 dollar only to allow everyone to be registered and covered by the league. You would not be required to go every week. It would start after fourth of july and conclude right before little league/school starts in august

This is open to any 10U-14U player--Travel or Little League

The intent is give them a place to play that is more organic and free of any pressures from coaches and other adults. The intent is get reps while still having fun

This would also be a good time to experiment with different positions

2026 Umpire Registration.

This must be completed by anyone age 11-17 who is interested in umpiring at Lowell Little League. If you are age 18 or older please complete the Volunteer Registration/Background Check Form. Your age and experience will largely determine the divisions for which you may umpire. You will be contacted regarding an umpire meeting and training at a later date. Pay attention to your email, LLL.com, and the Lowell Little League facebook page.

Candidates will also have to opportunity to umpire in post season games (district 9 division tournaments and All-Stars games). Please keep in mind that once the regular season ends, our need for umpires does not end and we'd love for you to consider umpiring into June and July if you're available!
